Optima Battery Drop Down ( Side Mount )
We are proud to introduce our new drop down battery side mount! This mount makes removing the battery a pleasant experience from under your car or truck, requiring less time and headache to most mounts on the market currently.
So what makes this mount stand out? The bracket is designed as 2 main parts, 1 being the battery cradle and 2 being the frame mount that hooks the battery cradle. This design keeps the battery tight to the frame and drop nearly straight down for maintenance and charging in tight spaces like under your truck bed, under a trunk floor, or an auxiliary battery for your trailer. No need to pull your bed off, remove a wheel, or unbolt the bracket from the frame itself.
One last key feature is the hook/tab design which allows you to lift by hand or by floor jack and hook the battery cradle onto the frame bracket without having to juggle nuts and bolts. Once the cradle has been hooked you can add the 2 safety bolts which keeps your battery locked into place. ( Tech tip ) for the best install we recommend to add at least 12” of slack to your positive and negative battery cable for ease of maintenance.
